Facial Hair (Hirsutism) Removal Treatment
This service allows our pharmacist to supply a prescription-strength cream to help reduce and control facial hirsutism in females. The cost includes the consultation and one tube of cream.
The treatment is available to female patients aged 19 and over who have already been diagnosed with hirsutism by a GP. It is not suitable for individuals with liver or kidney problems, or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
If your condition is severe or has rapidly worsened, please consult your GP promptly.

Hair Loss Treatment for Male Pattern Baldness
Male pattern baldness (androgenetic alopecia) affects many men and is caused by the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a byproduct of testosterone.
Treatment:
- Finasteride 1mg tablets reduce DHT levels, helping to prevent further hair loss and potentially encourage some hair regrowth.
- Dosage: One tablet daily (increasing the dose does NOT improve results).
Cost:
- Consultation plus a box of 28 tablets- £30
- An 84-day supply is available for £85, which can be discussed during the consultation.
Important:
- Only suitable for males aged 18 and over.
